Training
| Since Mark and Dave Peacock are running a wide range of courses (Navigation, chartwork, GPS, Day Skipper, Yachtmaster, diesel engines etc. – mostly at HYC Brough between 24 October ’09 and March 2010) with substantial discounts for HYC members, I thought it would be worth highlighting this here. Follow this link for full details.
Humber Yawl Club members receive substantial reduction on all courses. Also the Basic Navigation course is Free (Students have to pay for their learning materials). The ICC and CEVENI tests are also FREE to members.
You will find links to Mark Peacock’s ‘Fastack‘ and other sailing schools on the ‘Links’ pages. You may already know that Mark and Dave offer training to members on club premises, often at reduced rates. Contact them for details or watch out for notices on club notice boards or here in the future? |
| Web Training |
| Trevor (Bending) is prepared to offer training (free of charge) to committee and members in the use of browsers, text editors, word-processors, ‘FTP’ clients, web-editing software etc. to enable you to contribute directly to the club’s web presence or manage the club’s internet presence with greater understanding. (No experience required!) Speak to a committee member to make this happen. (NB. Now we are using wordpress.com to maintain the site, anyone who can just about use a word-processor or the internet can contribute. Training still available for those who want to go deeper!). |
See the top of this page for details of forthcoming courses at HYC Brough.
