This page is for Trevor B, the present Administrator, to put some basic ideas about contributing to the site before members who wish to do so and provide the first steps in the web ‘training’ referred to on the Training page.
For the moment (December 2007), I will continue to run this weblog alongside the official (red) site and the other experimental pages I have put up. I HAVE NOW (DECEMBER 2008) been doing this for 12 months with more of the recent work coming from Roger Smith (who was elected Captain at the AGM on 13th December). This has in effect become the OFFICIAL SITE since February 2008, although the ‘red’ site and other earlier efforts can still be found – more on this later. You can still compare the possibilities and consider whether this ‘blogging’ method is the best way for a club to maintain its site with active participation by committee and members, rather than a ‘webmaster’ or ‘webmistress’. PLEASE ALSO CONSIDER CONTRIBUTING – see below.
Any of you can currently contribute by making a comment or ‘leaving a reply’ and for the moment, anyone can contribute ‘posts’ by emailing a request to hyc at humber.co.uk (replace the ‘ at ‘ with ‘@’) when you will receive your invitation to be a contributor.
Please begin by reading the notes on ‘How to use this site! – Get your bearings here.‘.
Then, please read the notes about authors, editors or contributors. on the wordpress.com site.
If you have any questions, post a comment or email me and I will add answers to the ‘Contents’ sub-pages below.

- the listing of sub-pages here at the foot of the parent page sometimes disappears so scroll down the sidebar to the right until you find the complete Pages listing and click on the sub-pages, 01…., listed there under ‘Editors’ as required.
This page has the following sub pages.
Your blog appears to be lifeless and in need of more photographs and stimulating conversation from the editor.
Is this possible before I fall asleep?
Is it possible the editor is going to change sometime soon?
Who is this ancient Trevor chappie?

I’m sorry I don’t know who nik_beaumont@hotmail.co.uk
is.
A member or a spotty american teenager?
If the former, the comment is offensive.
The website contains or links to over 200 photos from 1959 to last weekend – in their proper place.
Its purpose is not stimulating conversation but timely information. Please do fall asleep.
The editors are all too well known to members to need any introduction. changes may or may not be imminent – a General Committee decision, although contributions are welcome from all members who want to make a positive contribution.
